The LIHEAP program offers financial assistance in the form of a once-per-program-year payment that can be applied to your home energy bill. This assistance can help eligible households cover some of their heating or cooling costs ensuring they can maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

The Heating reopens May 1, 2024, for all eligible households who have not already received heating assistance during this program year (December 2023 - present)

Households must bring all required documents to their appointments.
*Current heating bill (if applicable) and electric bill
*Proof of income for the last 30 days for all household members 18 and older
*Social Security cards for all household members (if applicable)
*Valid Photo ID

Please note that an appointment doesn't automatically mean assistance approval. After your appointment, it can take up to 6 - 10 weeks for approval and for payment to hit your account. You must continue to make payments on your account.
