Please note that an appointment doesn't automatically mean assistance approval. After your
appointment, it can take up to 6 - 10 weeks for approval and for payment to hit your account. You
must continue to make payments on your account.
What has changed about the LIHEAP Application Process?
* If you choose to complete your appointment on your own:
You will first complete a registration with PCA. After that, you will be sent an email with the url for the State of Georgia website. Once redirected, you must complete a separate registration with the state and submit your LIHEAP application directly through this state system.
* If you come in person for your appointment:
PCA staff will complete the application on your behalf during your scheduled appointment.
